We are thrilled to launch, the "Gauge Our Rulers" lottery, brought to you by the Festival Committee. This is something we’ve never tried before in our Province, and to our knowledge, it hasn't been done elsewhere either.
Key Details:
- Cost to enter: Lodges can enter for £200 per entry, and the Chapter scheme will be £100. Each entry contributes towards your Lodge’s or Chapter’s Festival honorific objectives.
- No entry limit: Lodges and Chapters can enter as many times as they like, increasing their chances of winning.

- A unique experience for candidates – offering them a memorable and prestigious ceremony.
- Attract candidates by being able to provide a "showcase" event for new members.
- Promote fraternal visiting – we anticipate a great turnout at these special events!
- Support the Festival – a new way for your Lodge to engage and contribute.
- Boost Festival fundraising while also working towards your Lodge’s Festival goals.
- Raise the profile of the Festival and encourage members who aren’t yet Festival Stewards to consider joining.
Timeline for the Craft 2024/2025 Scheme:
- Launch: 12 October 2024
- Details shared with Charity Stewards: Week commencing 14 October 2024
- Entries open: 21 October 2024
- Entries close: 31 January 2025
- Draw: February 2025
- Ceremonies: To be held by the end of June 2025
There will be 11 winning Lodges, and the order in which entries are drawn will determine which Ruler attends each Lodge. Each Lodge can only win one Ruler per draw. The more entries your Lodge makes, the higher the chance of success. For example, if every Lodge enters once, the odds are about 15:1 – but more entries improve your chances.
This initiative has the full backing of the Provincial Craft and Royal Arch Rulers, all of whom will participate in the draw. We look forward to your participation in this exciting opportunity to create lasting memories and contribute meaningfully to the Festival.
