Thornton-le-Dale Annual Gala and Classic Car Show
Sunday 25th May 2025
W.Bro. Peter Osler has very kindly offered to arrange the entries for this event for any Classics on the Square members who would like to attend, as he did last year. Many thanks to Peter for this kind offer.
Race the Waves on South Beach, Bridlington
Saturday and Sunday 14/15 June 2025
One of our members, Bro. Albert Roberts, has received an entry to drag race his hotrod in this spectacular event. There will be 250 cars (pre-1960) and bikes (pre-1975) drag racing on the beach. A COS trip to go and watch the racing is being planned.
Classic Car Display and Lunch at The Motorist, Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet LS25 6JE
Sunday 22nd June 2025
Most of our members will be familiar with this amazing motoring venue located in the Yorkshire countryside to the east of Sherburn in Elmet. We have been invited to display our classic cars and to have Sunday Lunch in the Arnage Restaurant at the Motorist.

President’s Paella Lunch

Our President, W.Bro. J. Barry Orr MBE and his wife Margaret have very kindly invited the members of Classics on the Square to attend a
3 course Paella Lunch at their home. This wonderfully kind invitation from Barry and Margaret is to all members of Classics on the Square and the WSMBA Ridings Chapter (of which Barry is an Honorary Member) and their wives/partners.
Evening meet with classic cars for Fish and Chips (probably) in Masham Market Place One sunny summer evening (midweek)
To be arranged at short notice when there is a good weather forecast.
Classics on the Square Weekend Away 2025
Blue Bell Hotel, Market Place, Belford, Northumberland NE70 7NE
Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September 2025
The Blue Bell Hotel is a lovely old coaching Inn that has been highly recommended by several of our members. We will be staying there for 2 nights, arriving on Friday 5th and leaving on Sunday 7th September 2025. Our Chairman W.Bro. John Broadhead has visited the hotel and has arranged a special price for the Classics on the Square Weekend.
